Tagaloa Faafouina Su’a, President, Rugby League Samoa said

“It is important that we empower our volunteers with the skills and resources to ensure that they can create the best environment possible for Rugby League participants in Samoa. It is also really pleasing to see several females enrolled in the training as we are looking to create more opportunities both on and off the field for our female participants”

Mike Felise, NRL Samoa Manager applauded the Australian Defence Force for their support.  “Thanks to generous support of the ADF our participants and clubs will have important resources like first aid kits that will assist in our efforts to ensure all clubs are safe and inclusive spaces.”

Netball Australia and the Federation of International Touch will also be conducting training for their officials during the week, with all sports coming together on Friday night for a networking and presentation ceremony.

Rugby League, Netball and the ADF are working together to educate officials as part of the Australian Government’s Team Up program.
