Wellbeing

In 2018 NRL Tonga and Mai e Nima (the healthy eating programme) formed a partnership based on a collective goal of promoting health and wellbeing to primary school students to help prevent non-communicable diseases in Tonga.

We believe that we can improve the health and wellbeing of students in Tonga by educating them of the benefits of eating fruit & vegetables to establish lifelong healthy habits.  Our hard working and dedicated team members have a passion for delivering the messages of daily healthy behaviours. They are role models in the community and hope that they can influence families and communities.

The Wellbeing program is conducted over 10 weeks and consists of in class sessions as well as rugby league based physical activities

Each year over 100 primary schools across 4 islands are engaged in the Wellbeing program.
