Biography

Playing junior league for the Mascot Junior Rugby League Football Club from 1998 to 2006, Maddison Studdon first developed a passion for the game as a five-year-old when she became the ball girl for her father's A-Grade local rugby league team.

Always wanting to be at the top of the game, Maddison had her first taste of international rugby league when she was also selected to be ball girl for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup in Australia, an experience that only solidified her dream to play rugby league at the highest level.

After playing with the Helensburgh Tigers for four seasons, Maddison now plays for the Cronulla-Carringbah Sharks.

In 2014, Maddison achieved her dream and debuted with the Australian Jillaroos and continues to play for the team.

Maddison works full-time for DP World Stevedore and has worked as an NRL Game Development Officer. In 2017, Maddison become a NRL Ambassador to support the NRL's efforts in driving community engagement, and in 2018 became a Community Program Deliverer.

"I really enjoyed being an NRL Ambassador last year and look forward to branching out as a Community Program Deliverer in 2018," said Maddison.

"I've learned a lot over the past year as part of the Jillaroos program and look forward to working with men, women and children across the country to continue the important work of the NRL's Voice against Violence and State of Mind programs."

Maddison lives in Tempe, NSW. Her brother played state touch football and six-year-old nephew, Carter, plays junior league.
