The NRL is committed to utilising its powerful voice and reach to stand by our expert partners - Rape & Domestic Violence Services Australia, Our Watch and White Ribbon Australia - and take action to prevent violence.

Education workshops

Delivered to Rugby League teams clubs across Australia and the Pacific, the purpose of the Voice Against Violence workshops is to increase participants' awareness and understanding of the serious issue of gender-based violence. Participants are provided with insights into what this violence is, the different forms it takes, the consequences and why it occurs.

The Rugby League community receive information and practical advice on how each one of us can contribute to the prevention of such violence. Players leave the session feeling a sense responsibility and empowerment to stand up, speak out and take action to contribute to the prevention of violence.

Media awareness campaigns

The NRL are active in using its voice to reach the Rugby League community and beyond to raise awareness of violence and challenge contributing attitudes, behaviours and social norms. The NRL does this across a variety of media such as television, radio, print and online, as well as social channels and community forums.
