Jillaroos Coach Brad Donald has been appointed the NRL's Elite Programs Manager, overseeing national programs including the Australian Kangaroos and Jillaroos.
Mr Donald’s current role will be expanded to include the NRL’s elite programs, but with a particular emphasis on the women's game.
NRL Head of Football Brian Canavan said Mr Donald would be working closely with Kangaroos Coach Mal Meninga and Elite Performance Manager Troy Thomson on key programs including the Kangaroos, the Jillaroos, the Prime Minister’s XIII, the Junior Kangaroos as well as player eligibility and coach education.
"Brad brings a wealth of experience in coach education and game development," Mr Canavan said.
"He's very passionate about the women’s game and will be a significant contributor to our elite programs."
Mr Donald said he was excited about the prospect of being able to place more emphasis on the elite programs, with a focus on women's Rugby League.
"The female game is the fastest growing participation area of the sport and I’m excited to be able to play a part in how it will look in the future," Mr Donald said.
