Benji Marshall in 2020 for Wests Tigers.

Benji Marshall has knocked back interest from Super League's Hull FC to continue his pursuit of an NRL lifeline as his former club Wests Tigers prepares to re-sign rising youngster Alex Seyfarth.

Marshall was linked to Hull FC this week on a reported big-money, one-year deal.

jetwinvip.com understands that while Hull FC made contact with Marshall's management, the 35-year-old's preference is to remain in Australia.

Both the Cowboys and Sharks have explored picking up Marshall but balked at his price tag with little room to move in their respective salary caps.

Marshall also has a burgeoning media career with Fox Sports that is fuelling a preference to play out of Sydney.

His 2005 premiership-winning Tigers teammate Brett Hodgson has taken up the head coaching post at Hull FC, but has been unable to lure Marshall into a Super League swansong.

Back at Concord, Seyfarth is set to be retained on a one-year deal for next season.

The 21-year-old played four games this year after debuting in round three, previously representing NSW at under 18s and under 20s level.

Seyfarth's re-signing later this week will see the Tigers fill 28 spots in their top 30 squad, with former Broncos big man Joe Ofahengaue to report for training next week.
