QRL match centres live ahead of season kick-off

Queensland’s leading male and female talent will get their first opportunity to play for premiership points when Queensland Rugby League's statewide competitions commence this weekend.

Fans can follow these competitions via the QRL match centres, which showcase the play-by-play, live scores and team changes as they unfold.

With the many months of pre-season toil now out of the way, teams involved in the Harvey Norman Under 19s, Auswide Bank Mal Meninga Cup and Cyril Connell Challenge are ready to make early statements.

There are three Harvey Norman Under 19 Pool C matches on Saturday, kicking off with the clash between the Redcliffe Dolphins and Souths Logan Magpies at Kayo Stadium.

Auswide Bank Mal Meninga Cup fixtures will once again showcase the leading male under 18 players from across Queensland.

Defending premiers the Souths Logan Magpies are drawn to play the Redcliffe Dolphins in Round 1, also at Kayo Stadium.

The under 16 Cyril Connell Challenge also gets underway on Saturday with three Pool C games.

The competition is named after the late Cyril Connell, a renowned talent scout famous for identifying and mentoring some of the state’s most successful rugby league players over many decades.
