Women's Under-19's State of Origin

Thursday, July 13, 5.45pm at Kayo Stadium

Queensland Women: A switch prior to kick-off sees Matekino Kahukoti-Gray and Rilee Jorgensen swap positions, with the former now in the second row and the latter moving to lock. Gold Coast young gun Chantay Kiria-Ratu has been recalled into the side, and this time at five-eighth. The Cook Islands playmaker will be in good company in the spine, partnered by fellow Titan Sienna Lofipo in the halves, and Lily-Rose Kolc at hooker. Cowboys recruit Shaylee Joseph will get her first taste of Origin at prop alongside Jacinta Carter who ran off the bench last year.

New South Wales Women: Raiders recruit Monalisa Soliola returns to the side this year, shifting from prop to second row while Wests Tigers young gun Losana Lutu is also back in blue at lock, after making her Origin debut at five-eighth last year. Roosters prodigy Kalosipani Hopoate will bring plenty of big-game experience to the junior Sky Blues forward pack – named to make her NSW debut at prop alongside 2023 Bulldogs Tarsha Gale star Latisha Smythe. North Sydney Bears Tarsha Gale co-captains Sienna Williams and Chloe Jackson will also feature, with Williams lining up at fullback and Jackson in the back row. Brooke Talataina and Evie Jones will steer the ship in the halves while Chelsea Makira comes in at hooker. There were no late changes to the squad.
