This season the Roosters are loaded up with mid-priced prospects who could end up being keepers, while at the top end they have some of the best options around at EDG, HLF and WFB.

James Tedesco had his worst Fantasy season in almost a decade last year, which saw him average 48.7 points per game, but he came to life big time at the end of the season when the Roosters started to play their best football and averaged 61 in his last three appearances.

Provided the Roosters fire from a bit earlier on this year and he's able to collect a few more dynamic attacking stats, there's good reason to think Teddy is underpriced at $670k and could easily become a mid to high 50s player again in 2024.

Tedesco delivers when needed

HLF Sam Walker is another with some potential upside after his price dipped during an injury-impacted year in which his form was below his normal standard, while in the $500k bracket the Tricolours have Dominic Young, Luke Keary, Brandon Smith, Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii and Angus Crichton who could all be keepers in their respective positions if circumstances go their way.

The big gun

Both Sam Walker and James Tedesco have a case here, but in the end you can't look past their most expensive player, Nat Butcher. With dual position status as both a EDG and MID, Butcher is a super valuable player to have in your squad, especially given the Roosters will play in two of the three major bye rounds. The top tackler in the competition by average last year with 44.3 per game, he has great base stats and should score plenty of tries off Luke Keary and Walker this year too.

Nat Butcher has big fantasy day

The bargain

Spencer Leniu (MID, $395k) has been clear about his desire to become a starting front-rower at the Roosters and even if that doesn't eventuate there's a good chance he ends up playing bigger minutes than he has in the past for the Panthers. The Samoan big bopper has improved as a Fantasy scorer in each of his five seasons so far to get up to averaging 28.2 last year. With bigger minutes he could go into mid 30s territory, which gives him money making potential through the early part of the season.

Bye round outlook

Round 14, 19 and 23. No bye through the first 13 rounds means there are no issues around loading up on Roosters in your initial squad, while they only sit out one of the major bye rounds (Round 19). Their last bye in Round 23 will clash with the finals in some head-to-head leagues and needs to be considered when you start plotting your team for the run home.
