Sky Blues
Sky Blues coach Kylie Hilder had the luxury of naming an unchanged squad for Game Two of the series on home soil in Newcastle. On the back of their 22-12 win in the opening game at Suncorp Stadium the Blues will look to wrap up the series and take back the Origin shield after losing on points aggregate in last year's two-game series.
Queensland
A number of changes for the Maroons as they look to level the series, with veteran playmaker Ali Brigginshaw shifting to halfback, Lauren Brown to the centres and Evania Pelite to the wing to cover for the injured Emily Bass (shoulder). Sienna Lofipo starts at lock with Zahara Temara dropped to the reserves alongside Keilee Joseph and Skyla Adams.
Stat Attack
- The women’s Origin honour roll is currently tied at 3-all. NSW won the Shield in 2018-19 and 2022, and Queensland in 2020, 2021 and 2023.
- Sky Blues winger Jaime Chapman has scored two tries in her three Origin appearances while also racking up five tries in five Tests for Australia.
- The Sky Blues made six line breaks in Game One compared to just one by the Maroons.
