Ever wanted to walk in the shoes of NRL legend Kieran Foran?
Well now, you quite literally can - and you can do so in a pretty special pair of boots.
Final bids - auction closes 8pm (Qld time) Thursday 24th October
Kieran has put the Asics Lethal Testimonial boots he wore in his 300th NRL game up for auction, with the funds going towards the Top Blokes Foundation.
Top Blokes Foundation is a youth mental health charity working with young males to empower them to build resilience and strength to navigate life's challenges.
Through mentoring programs, delivered by experienced and qualified youth workers, Top Blokes helps equip boys and young men aged 10-24 with essential skills for positive mental health and wellbeing.
Sparking conversation: Foran, Fanning and Parkinson share their mental health journeys
As a Top Blokes ambassador himself, the focus strikes a personal chord with Foran, who tragically lost his stepson Logan Steinwede to suicide last year.
"Top Blokes is a charity that is very close to my heart and unfortunately due to my recent ankle surgery, I wasn't able to participate in the 'Lift the Load Challenge' throughout October," he said.
"I wanted to make sure I could still contribute, so I'm auctioning off my 300-game boots that are very important to me.
"It's been a huge journey for me to get to 300 NRL games so I had these boots specially designed for the game against the Dragons. They feature the playing number of all five clubs I've played for as well as my name and the occasion, and now they're going to auction for one lucky fan to have at home - all for a great cause.
"I partnered with Top Blokes about nine months ago after the tragic death of my stepson Logan and it's a very important from our family's point of view to do all we can to help, support and stop suicide in this country.
"It's something we're living through at the moment. It's close to my heart now and something I'm entrenched in and want to make a difference in.
"Top Blokes are doing some incredible work in the community and in schools.
"They have a wonderful six month program in high schools to educate young men on the importance of mental health and I think the more money we can raise this month to help Top Blokes push into schools and deliver this program, the better as it's ultimately going to save young lives in the future."
The must-have collector's item is officially licensed and endorsed by the NRL, with the fully-incased boots accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and tamper-resistant hologram. They are also personally signed by Kieran Foran.
All profits go to Top Blokes Foundation with the auction being hosted by Official Memorabilia and the Gold Coast Titans, in partnership with Kieran Foran and Top Blokes Foundation.
