Dragons appoint Nathan Cross as NRLW Head Coach

The Dragons are proud to announce the appointment of Nathan Cross as NRLW Head Coach and Pathways Coaching Coordinator.

Along with being the Head Coach of the Dragons’ NRLW side, Cross’s will oversee coaching pathways across the men’s and women’s programs within the club.

Cross’s 17 years of rugby league coaching experience includes roles as the assistant coach of the Harvey Norman Queensland Women’s Origin side for the past two seasons and as assistant coach of the Under-19s Queensland men’s Origin team in 2023.

He has also held assistant coach roles for multiple Hostplus Queensland Cup sides and was previously a pathways coach for the Titans before most recently working fulltime for the Queensland Rugby League as Head Coach – Pathways & Performance.

Dragons CEO Ryan Webb welcomed the recruitment of Cross to the club.

“The appointment of Nathan Cross as NRLW Head Coach is extremely exciting,” Webb said.

“His commitment to excellence and player development aligns perfectly with our club’s values and goals.”

Dragons Female Football Manager Samantha Bremner added:

Nathan brings with him not only a wealth of rugby league knowledge but a great ability to tailor that to our female rugby league players.

“His aspirations for the team and club align perfectly with what we are working towards for this club and his philosophies around women's rugby league instils a lot of confidence that he will not only help the team perform at the highest level, both individually and as a team, but also give them a great experience at the club whilst doing so.”
