The 2025 NRLW season will be the biggest one in history, with an expanded 12-team competition highlighting the continued development and support for women’s rugby league.
The first ever NRLW Magic Round will be held at Newcastle’s McDonald Jones Stadium in Round 5, with all six games of the round being played across the first weekend in August.
With the inclusion of the Bulldogs and the return of the Warriors next year, fans from more clubs can support not one, but two, of their teams every week.
In massive news, there will be 33 NRL-NRLW double headers in 2025, guaranteeing double the fun when you head out to watch some quality rugby league live.
Of the 33 NRL-NRLW double headers, 18 will feature the same home and away teams in both fixtures.

Round 1 – Raiders v Dragons at GIO Stadium, Saturday, July 5 – 3.15pm

Fans will get the chance to experience a 'double double' header from Round 1 of the NRLW this season when the Green Machine host St George Illawarra at GIO Stadium. Both teams will be looking to improve on a patchy 2024 season, with the Raiders keen to see their young crop of players to step up, while under new coach Nathan Cross, the Dragons will be aiming to kick-start the new season with a win away from home.
The NRLW game will be followed by NRL Round 18 Raiders v Dragons at 5.30pm.

It will be a massive day on the Gold Coast with a Queensland derby double header between South East Queensland rivals the Titans and the Broncos. The last time the two teams met in Round 3 of the 2024 NRLW season, Brisbane put on a clinic, with powerhouse Kiwi centre Mele Hufanga running in for four tries in the 44-4 win. Prior to that in 2023, the Titans were one-point winners in a golden point thriller at the Gabba, where field goal specialist Lauren Brown slotting the winner.
The NRLW game will be followed by NRL Titans v Broncos Round 19 match at 6.15pm.

Gold Coast skipper Georgia Hale is on track to play in front of her former home crowd when the Titans head 'across the ditch' to face the Warriors. A foundation player in the inaugural season for the Warriors in 2018, Hale has since become a stalwart for the Titans and a true leader, but it is set to be an emotional homecoming for the current Kiwi Ferns captain. While it will be the second home game and the second NRLW / NRLW double header for the returning Warriors, it will be the first home double header featuring the same two clubs in both the men's and women's draw.

The first time to the two 'new' clubs in 2024 go head-to-head, with newcomers the Bulldogs hosting the Wahs wahine. At the midway point of the season, fans of both sides will have a strong gauge of how their sides are travelling in a tough competition, with the teams no doubt targeting a finals spot to stamp their presence on the scene. Round 6 in the NRLW and Round 23 in the NRL are also both the first weeks of Indigenous Round, with all clubs historically showcasing their support with specially designed jerseys that share the stories of their team and region.

A host of former Sharks stars will face off against their old team when the Bulldogs host Cronulla in Round 10. Halfback Tayla Preston and forwards Holli Wheeler and Tegan Dymock - who played in the grand final for the Sharks last year, as well as former NSW Under 19s centre Andie Robinson - have all signed up with the new club for their inaugural 2025 season, with the encounter set to hold extra meaning as former friends become foes for the match.
